Piers has spent the last 17 years of his life being involved with fostering. It started at the age of 5 when his parents decided to foster, and at the age of 19 he started his own career as a foster carer support worker. This job allowed Piers to gain experience supporting both carers and young people with a range of challenging behaviours. Piers then worked in a school, providing 1 to 1 support for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.
Throughout the years of living and working with looked after children, Piers believes that it is important to remain tactful and always have a fair approach.
In his spare time, Piers enjoys tinkering with cars. He believes that is of paramount importance to have something in your life which takes you away from reality and gives you time to reflect.
