Three Reasons for Diverse Care

1. We Reward You

Unlike most agencies and local authorities that only pay a standard rate (regardless of a child's needs) we believe carers should be rewarded based upon an individual’s requirements. Therefore we operate a three tier payment system to reward carers respectively, with options tailored to 'Mother and Baby' and 'Solo' placements. (Per week, per placement):

  • Standard £408
  • Enhanced £510
  • Specialist £663
  • Mother and baby £700
  • Solo £700

Diverse Care UK Ltd has operated this system since registering in 2004 and it has proved to be a highly effective way of rewarding carers for their achievements.

2. We Support You

We provide support in many forms:

  • Regular high income. Allowing you to be a full-time professional carer.
  • 24hr Helpline. Advice and emergency support.
  • Respite. 3 weeks paid respite for all carers.
  • Legal advice. Free subscription to the Fostering Network .
  • Support carer. Free training and approval.
  • Social Worker. Weekly phone contact and monthly visits.
  • Support Group. Regular group meeting of carers.
  • Events. Social gatherings at Christmas and summer activities.
  • Whistle blowing. Complaints procedure with a guaranteed response.

3. We Train You

Diverse Care provides a 4 day 'Skills to Foster' training program, spread over a two week period. The training is delivered at our in-house centre, building upon any previous experience or knowledge, by specialists that have practised for many years within this field.

Following panel approval, we have an induction session to introduce you to fostering and insure you are fully prepared.

During your career as a carer with Diverse Care, we will train you in all aspects of fostering where you feel that you could excel. All training delivered will contribute towards the 'children's workforce development council' or CWDC. This is a standard for the support, training and development of carers, a requirement for all foster carers in the UK.
